Inter Club League - Aboyne 1st to 3rd May
Report by Geddes Chalmers
The holiday weekend produced some really challenging cross country flying fitted around weather that always promised something, but not always what we wanted. Almost every task had at least one finisher and some tasks even had the whole field finish so thanks to Roy Dalling for setting "Do-able" tasks. We only had a team of five competitors and three gliders so some of us had to fly more than once (its a hard life).
In the Pundit class Robert managed a 1st and 2nd place, and Phil a 4th.
In the hardest class, Intermediate, Phil had a 2nd and 5th and I managed a 2nd [We wus robbed].
In the Novice class David was the only pilot to finish on both Sat and Mon and Teresa came 2nd on Sunday.
Results and points are shown below. As you can see, it's still all to play for at Feshie (31st July to 2nd August).
